Rinse the **pinto beans**. 2. Add the rinsed **pinto beans**, **water**, diced **onions**, **salt**, **pepper**, and **bay leaf** to an instant pot. 3. Set the instant pot to **Beans/Stew** setting, and cook for 32 minutes on high pressure.
